Our friends, Damon and Casey came to Colorado for a long weekend visit a couple weeks ago. They introduced us to a new yummy dessert idea that I can't wait to make again!
Start with a banana. Keeping it in the peel, cut down the middle to the banana. Open up the cut in the peel. Insert dark chocolate pieces (we crushed up a bar in plastic bag beforehand) and peanut butter.
Place the banana boats on the grill until the chocolate is melted and the peels look slightly burnt. I don't remember how long we had them on the grill for - I was too excited about eating them to think about time. I have this nifty grilling bowl I use for vegetables that we used to cook our banana boats, but you can place them right on the grill.
Voila! Eat them alone or over ice cream! We drizzled some agave nectar over them just because we like our desserts even sweeter. Yum!
